I don’t render or compile, or other heavyweight computational tasks.

Apple promises that "Games with ray-traced effects look WAY more compelling" on M4 Pro. This sounded compelling until I found that there is one single game available for Mac right now using ray-tracing (Firmament).

So is there any reason to spring for M4 Pro model Mac mini? Aside from some vague notion of future-proofing?

I've ordered one because I need a couple of really fast threads for compiling / simulation.

All that other faff, meh ass end mac mini would be fine for me.
