Hello everyone,
Thank you in advance for your help i am hoping that you can point me to a solution or a better method. I have multiple external hard disks and have folders spanning each. I use one large drive primarily to store raw unconverted data and then after the processes are complete move the finished product to the appropriate directories on the various drives. I have the folder aliases in my dock but am only able to view or launch files (as i understand) in the form of stacks or contextual menus but am unable to drag and drop items from or move items said menus to anywhere. Is there a shortcut i can press to allow this? Is there a way i can simply make these shortcuts just spring loaded aliases to the folder so i can open it in its own window so i can manipulate the files there? I can use command + click to spring load a window showing me the upper level directory of the alias but its still one extra click to get what i need and then of course lets say i want to look at multiple drives at once and move criss cross to many different folders that takes some effort for me. I know i could use terminal and it would be probably more efficient in many ways but i just want spring loaded folders on my dock. Sorry for a book, is this impossible? Better idea?
Please help.
Thanks,
Jesse
