Springboard's crashing whenever I get an iMessage

I have a iPhone 4 running 5.0.1 and BiteSMS (Version unknown because when I ever I select a package in Cydia the info page doesn't load but the "Modify" button does).

Since I first used the iMessage Beta on my mid 2009 MBP running Lion my iPhone's Springboard crashes when I receive a message.

Is this a common issue?

no that is not normal behaviour

My imessage from my lion works ok to my ip 4

BiteSMS version can be found in BiteSMS app settings/about

Any call/sms blockers installed?

BiteSMS 6.1 and no call blockers.
