Sprint and iphone

I'd love it if sprint would have the balls to bring the iphone over to become more profitable. two recent stories caught my attention:

But in a recent event announcement all we got was the crappy kyocera echo. How likely would it be for sprint to be able to carry the iphone?

I agree, not happening anytime soon. It isn't an exclusive to Verizon, but I think sprint is unlikely because that would add a second 4G technology that Apple would have to support in an upcoming revision, and I don't think they want to do that for a small carrier like sprint.
