I have Sprint, and utilize the "Unlimited to any mobile" feature a lot. The thing that scares me are the people who port their home phone numbers to a mobile line...

If you look up the number using a number lookup service, it still states that it is a "landline" phone number....would Sprint pick up that this is a cell phone, or would they still count it as a landline?

Phone companies know where they are routing a number.

When a call is made to the ported telephone number, the initiating service provider switch launches a query to its LNP call routing database to determine whether the telephone number has been ported. If it has, the database response provides the switch with the LRN needed to properly route the call.
