So the iPhone 4S supports HSPA+ which has theoretical speeds of up to 14.4Mbps. Has anyone used an HSPA+ phone and tested the real world data rate?

I am thinking of switching to Sprint, but I fear the EV-DO Rev. A will be slow compared to my usual 2-5 Mbps down/500-1000Kbps up speeds that I get from my iPhone 4 on at&t, and even more so when compared to the HSPA+ speeds.

Have evdo networks gotten faster? Back when I was on sprint they topped out at around 1Mbps on a good day.
