spss compatibility between mac and pc

firstly, apologies. i am so dumb when it comes to computer stuff. so please forgive any ignorance which may evidence itself.

I am trying to find a solution for my boss.

She uses a mac, but our statistician uses pc.

He does the data analysis on his pc, but when my boss tries to open the tables on her mac, nothing works.

is there anyone out there who knows what the problem may be.

also, when she tries to open output tables a dialog box comes up saying it is already open.

SPSS is not completely compatible between Macs and PCs, there are a lot of quirks and bugs. I think it's more a problem of SPSS being a really poorly designed program than anything else...
