Spy daemon in Mac OS X 10.4.7?

Not sure if this is truly "spyware" or not, weak argument for it, at best, but it should still probably notify the user the first time to get permission.

OTOH (on the other hand) we don't complain about the time synch features in OS X or Windows XP, etc. do we?
