Spyware And virus protection?

Hey guys i have searched around to see if anyone uses a spyware program on their mac or virus protection.I'm on a pc now and i have a bunch of programs that protect from spy ware(of course)Im getting a macmini soon and i was wondering of anyone would suggest a program or do even need one thanks.

I think it boils down to this: there are no viruses that can infect OS X. Furthermore, you can't get infected without deliberately installing something as an admin. Yet, if you run Windows on your Mac you need protection, and if you share MS Office files with PeeCee users you could be a good neighbor and help protect those poor people.

It is quite difficult to get them mainly because there are so few and the ones I've heard about have to be manually installed. Therefore, I don't have antiviral software for OS X.
