iPod touch spyware/clearing history

I apologize if this has been covered, but I didn't find anything after a quick search.

Do you pick up spyware or anything when you use Safari on your touch? Is it possible to clear your internet history? Maybe it's not something to worry about, but I can imagine wanting to check my banking or something, and I don't want to worry about having that info saved somewhere on the touch. Even if it is password protected and all.

There's no need to worry about spyware on OS X right now.

To clear history cache and cookies go to settings then safari and scroll down. They are there in the menu.
