Spyware Dectection Software: Is it necessary?

Would anyone recommend using spyware detection software on the MAC?

If so, what would you recommend?

Any critical comments on "WebTunnel" (available on the Apple site)?

I dont use any. I have never has spyware or viruses on any of my macs.
