Square Trade iPhone warranty for $81

Hey guys,
I saw this on slickdeals.net in the front page. Apparently, they co-running a promotion for the iPhone's warranty for $81 instead of $99.
I am not sure if I want one yet but I might bite for $40/year. I read on some other threads that I can use my homeowner insurance, how does that work ?
