I'm very interested in m-commerce, that is, using my phone or the cloud to purchase items in brick and mortar stores.

I've used Starbucks app (who hasn't) and I've also used Paypal's digital wallet, at Home Depot. Entered my mobile # and pin # and never had to take my wallet or phone out. And I'm going to be trying out Square Wallet later at Starbucks.

I'm very interested in other users' experience and opinions on this topic. For me, personally, I can't see the need for NFC if there are cloud based options like Pay with Square (using your name at checkout, never taking the phone out of my pocket) and even Paypal's version of this.

Has anyone used Square Wallet (aside from Starbucks, which for now requires a barcode on your phone)? What is your experience and opinion?

Edit: I realize NFC has other uses aside from payments. But that isn't the scope of this discussion
