Ok, Macrumors has always pulled through for me in the past, so I'm throwing this out there and hoping you guys can help.
Earlier this year I built a wordpress site and used hostgator as my domain register, hosting and email. I couldn't really get the WP theme to work like I wanted and finally ditched it for squarespace. I like squarespace and since I've accepted the sandbox I'm in, I'm ok with the limitations of using their platform. I was able to build the squarespace site during the two week trail, closed down my WP site and figured out (through awesome forum help) how to point my domain in Hostgator to the new squarespace site. Bingo, beautiful it worked.
However, I didn't think about the email front and now I'm not receiving any email. I see that I'm supposed to change the MX record, but honestly have no idea what that is/does and what it should be changed to. I don't want to go the gmail route even though squarespace seams to like that. I'm sure there's got to be a way to get my email back. Is there something in cPanel in hostgator I'm supposed to change like I did for the CNAME and A type. I need some serious handholding here. Any ideas?
Thanks a lot for any help!
Chris
