Anybody have a opinion on this? I want to get the plan that makes the most sense. ST offers accidental damage protection and cash if they can't fix it. AC offers ease of swapping at the Apple store, but no accidental damage.

What say you guys?

square trade 100%. You get applecare for the first year anyway - but ST covers you for so much more.

Well it's a phone, so you never know what's gonna happen to it. Drop it on the floor, in the toilet, we've heard it all.. I recommend ST , although I never purchased a warranty through them. At least not yet.

Anybody going to purchase ST for the 4G? Coverage is on sale now ... I'm hesitant to pull the trigger early as I'm not guarenteed a phone (though I will try like hell all day long on the 15th via web pre-order).

I picked up the square trade insurance for my iPad, & will be putting it on my wifes iPhone, but not mine... I've had good luck since iPhone 1... Just being careful.. & iPhone 4 seems almost indestructible to me... No plastic to scratch, no soft aluminum to ding, just incredibly tough glass & stainless.... If apple is telling the truth about the glass... Good luck breaking it... They are calling it gorilla glass for a reason. Now that being said, if I get it in my hand and it feels fragile... I'll be signing up for square trade instantly... Their insurance is pretty sweet... So much cheaper then through AT&T... Do anything to the phone but lose it & your fine... I believe the deductible is only 50 or 100 bucks... Not bad....

ST doesn't cover theft though, right?

My old, beat up 3G just got ripped off a few weeks ago and I can only assume that the new iPhones will be a hot commodity amongst thieves. I'd like to get some insurance, but I'm more concerned with theft than damage.
