Squaretrade vs..?

I see Squaretrade on amazon $99 for 2 years with a $50 deductible that can be used 4 times. That seems like a way better deal than Applecare+. Am I missing something besides convenience if you have an apple store nearby? (which I don't).

I don't have an Apple store nearby. But even before I entered the Apple ecosystem I used SquareTrade. They have fixed or replaced several laptops and cameras over the years. I can't imagine not using them.
