Squaretrade warranty on pre-ordered iPhone4. Which date do they use?..

In the Squaretrade app (online too) they ask if you purchased your phone within the last 30 days. When you have pre-ordered and had it shipped, which date do they go by?

I ordered on June 15th, it shipped June 29th, and was delivered July 6th. Does anyone know which of these dates Squaretrade goes by to determine the age of the phone?
