Squeaky Key on 2012 MBA

Hi All,

I just got my 13inch MBA from B&H about 2 weeks ago. Today, I noticed that the "Delete" key makes a very noticeable squeaking noise when it is pressed. It also feels not as sturdy as the other keys. Anyone else experiencing a squeaky key? I am not sure if I should exchange the MBA from B&H or just take it to the Apple Store and see what they can do... would rather just have the key replaced/fixed if possible rather than the whole laptop.

My space bar is squeaky, but it feels otherwise fine. I just live with it. (I'm no where near an Apple store, so it seems a minor thing for the hassle of doing something about it.)

If someone tells you what's up with that, though, it would be interesting to know.

So went to the Apple Store today and showed them the issue. The tech tried replacing the key and cleaning the area, but the noise remains. He then told me it is an issue with the underlying board. Gave me two choices: replace the entire laptop with a new one or replace the board (with a 5 day wait).

Only issue is I did not buy the laptop from Apple so I could not do the exchange today. I got it from B&H Photo so contacted them - hopefully they can exchange it from a new one.

Anyone have a similar issue where they had to replace their air with a new one due to a squeaky key?

I got my logic board replaced in store, was done in one day, I basically took it in, dropped it off one afternoon, picked it up the next morning.

how old was your air when you had to replace the logic board? Just got mine less than 2 weeks ago...
