I started noticing a faint squeeking sound from the big fan in my new mac pro. It has run flawlessly the first weeks, this just started now.

Anyone have any advice on how to fix this? Can I take it out and spray it with WD-50 or something?

Anyone know how to get the fan out?

WD-50, that the new top-secret spray? Seriously though, i'd avoid spraying any liquid into your mac. Just wait and see if it goes away, otherwise you could locate the squeak yourself and apply a tiny dab of grease.

Same thing here. Just got a brand new MacPro. Ran flawlessly the first few weeks. Now the fan has started squeaking and it's really, really annoying. :(

Same thing here. I pulled out the fan module to see if i could do anything but nothing I could really do about it. I was thinking trying WD-40, but I would much prefer to just put in a new fan. Any one know if where to buy one that would work with a mac pro? the ones I saw on the fan module didn't seem to be standard.
