I know this type of question has been asked before but I could not find the exact answer...

What would you choose - a 500Gb 7200rpm drive OR the 256Gb SSD? Beside the obvious points of capacity and extra cost, is the SSD worth the extra cash for less capacity? I like the sound of having 500Gb in my MBP but if the SSD was considerable faster (what else is good about it?) - is it worth it?

Get the 7200rpm. SSD capacity is going to go up soon.. and the prices will go down. When 500GB+ SSDs come out, swap it in and put the 7200rpm in an external enclosure. :-D
