I'm almost certain I'm going to buy a SSD for the new 13-inch macbook pro I will be purchasing shortly.

Would you recommend the SSD's provided by Apple in the configuration process or a third party SSD?

If a third party, I have read what seem to be stellar reviews of OWC's Mercury Extreme SSD and am wondering if that is a good choice, assuming 100gb is plenty to fulfill my space needs.

If I was to buy this SSD, is it all I would need? Just unscrew the backing, pop it in, and it would run without fault? No other hardware or software would be needed?

Thanks

the owc is a far better choice then apples ssd options. I think the intels are generally considered the safest bet. to instal the drive you will need a philips #00 screwdriver and a T6 torx driver.
