As title suggests, brother got a 2009 white macbook cheap(ish) a couple of weeks ago and yesterday the hdd went.
We got a 250gb hdd cheap off enay which we picked up same day (very handy)
Anyway we talked about the mba etc but he cant afford the outlay on a new/refurbished mac so we looked at ssd.
In the uk i can get 128gb ssd for about £55 which isnt bad really
Then he said he never uses the dvd drive.
So if he orders an ssd, am i right in thinking an ssd will be fine in 2009 white macbook.
Could he purchase an optibay (do they do them for the white macbook) and then put the 250gb hdd in there?
