Hi all, for those wondering how to minimize your SSD App space for those of us with relatively small SSDs and/or a dual setup here is an idea.

On your SSD you should already have your home directory with your Apps folder. If you want to save some space and you have some infrequently-used apps that you don't mind an HDD loading time - simply create a second Apps folder on your HDD and a symlink to it in your home Apps folder.

Then move your infrequently used Apps (e.g. Xcode, iMovie for me I seldom use, don't want to delete but are several GB), to the HDD folder.

You can still access them from Launchpad inc searching within the Launchpad, but you save some space at a slight cost of launch speed when you do use them.
