I'm looking to upgrade my early 2011 15" Macbook Pro with a 256gb SSD. I'm not sure which ones will fit my computer so I'm looking for some advice. I'd preferably like one that's available on amazon. The budget I'd set for this is about £70. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Crucial seem to have the least compatability issues and as your computer is SATA 2 only then you can get away with using a cheaper drive as the more expensive ones will show no improvement over a cheaper one.

I'd reccomend this one and it's bang on your budget target.

I threw a Samsung 850 EVO into my early 2011 15" MBP, and it's been great. One of the best SSDs out there right now. If that's not in your budget, I'd say look at a Crucial BX100.

Any 2.5" SATA3 SSD will do.

Go for the Crucial BX100. Relatively inexpensive and fast enough.

And it's below 70 quid.
