SSD for iMac 27 Late 2015

Does this work on any iMac Samsung 860 EVO 500GB 2.5" SATA III SSD - MZ-76E500BW

Without any dramas?

I like to buy this Samsung SSD and Use it As an External HDD and Install macOS High Sierra Latest Version

I already got a case for any Internal HDD/SDD

I Just like to know if anyone knows if it will work well.
