SSD for Macbook Pro 5.4 (2009, 15 in,)

The reason why I didn't ask in SSD buying guide topic is because of some problems I've read online. I intend to put SSDin my optibay. I read that these Macbooks can have problems running SSDs at SATA2 speeds and run em only in 1.5 gbs. This probably goes for SATA3 drives.

I would like if someone could clarify this and recommend me what drive to get. Specifically mine model is 15 inch with 2.53 Ghz CPU.

Mods please move this topic in SSD buying guide if you feel like it.
