I want to buy a MBP 13" within the next month or 2 depending on Apple's announcement on the i5 and i7.
My question is if i should choose the 128 Gb SSD at Apple or just buy the laptop with a normal HDD, and then just buy a SSD from somewhere else. Im really not sure if the SSD apple is putting in will be one of the "good ones". And therefore i think that i would get better performance by getting it from somewhere else.

So my question is: What gives the best performance: the 128Gb SSD from Apple or a 128 Gb SSD from somewhere else but at the same price as the one Apple can provide.

Much appreciated :)

I think the SSDs Apple use are Samsung but they aren't the fastest available. You're better off getting a HD model and upgrading it to a SSD yourself.
