Hey guys,

i have one question. I had a 13" 2,4ghz 2010 mbp which i operated with a vertex 2 SSD. I've put the SSD out and sold my MBP on ebay, so i could order a new 13" 2,3ghz 2011 mbp.

My question: My old system is still installed on the SSD. Is it possilbe to put the SSD in the new MBP without any changes or will this cause problems?

Thanks in advance!

It will not work as has been reported by others in the forums. The 2011 uses an updated version of 10.6.6 that has updated drivers etc to accommodate the new hardware. Just use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone your HD data to the SSD then do the swap.

Leave the SSD as-is, install it in the new machine, and then run the OS install disk that came with the machine. It'll upgrade your older OS.
