as per title, has anyone tried this? after reading countless of threads, i've decided to do this to my new (once received imac i7 3.4). What i'm thinking is, with the 3 sata ports, im going to put SDD + esata into the 6Gb/s ports and then the HDD in the 3 GB/s ports (superdrive connection). yes, im taking out the superdrive and then external enclosure...
Firstly, does that make sense? haha! has anyone used samsung F3 in an imac? any fan issues?
secondly, out of the esata mod, has anyone used a port multiplier, if so, which one and does it work?
for fcpx, i need about 2-3 enclosures and as esata ones are cheaper than firewire i thought it would make sense!
anyways, please help if you can!
