So right now I have a Seagate XT in this laptop, but I want a full SSD. I was looking at the OWC data doubler but it seems very pricey for a piece of plastic. Are there any cheaper alternatives that work in the white macbook? Also will any SSD work? I am thinking of doing 60GB for apps, OSX and than the 500 hybrid for everything else. I also need to find an enclosure for the removed optical drive.

There are alternatives on eBay - but there are also lots of stories about them not working very well. OWC's not cheap but they stand behind their products.
