So i was thinking about putting a Samsung 850 pro 120gb into my Black book but as it is Sata 1.5gb i have been told that i would not get the full potential out of the SSD.

What are my options then for a really fast SSD that will be good in a 2008 2.4ghz Blackbook?

Also is there any pros or cons running an SSD from either the HD bay or Optical bay?

Pretty sure that model has sata for the hdd bay and pata for thr superdrive. Unless you want to completely cripple that ssd you should put it in the hdd bay.

Othervise, it will run fine. Slower than specced but fine. My 2006 CDwith Sata1.5 caps out at 133mb/s.

You'll indeed want to put it in the hdd bay so you can get the SATA connection. Also since it's only SATA I, it'd probably be more cost efficient to grab an 840 pro on sale somewhere since you won't be able to notice the performance difference anyway.
