SSD in Macbook?

Im sorry if this has already been covered, i tried searching but couldnt find much info on it. Would it be possible to put a SSD drive in the macbook?

No Luck Here

I tried a Patriot SSD v2 in my 2GHz MacBook Core Duo (MA255LL/A). The OS 10.4 installer and its Disk Utility could not see the SSD.
I'm not sure if the problem is the OS (is 10.5 needed?) or my old model of MacBook.
I used my OS 10.5 Mac Pro to successfully format & install OS 10.4 on the SSD, but my MacBook boot picker still cannot see it.

if you buy a cheaper one (jmicron controller/mlc) the prices are much more bearable (closer to $200 for a 120GB drive)
