Well? Will it?

Just bored at work and been looking up random stuff. Thought came to mind.

Will a new Solid-State Drive, when used with an older model macbook work?
Do they need drivers or some jazz (not coltrane :p) that only come with newer laptops, or would it work with my current laptop?

I know they would be much more expensive, but hey. Just starting conversation. :)

I am pretty sure they run on standard interfaces. So i don't think you would need drivers. It should run just fine. But why?

Quietness. :)

Which is hard to get with a macbook I s'pose.

Then the only thing making alot of noise, would be the cooling fan.
