Sorry if this is a repeat, I looked but didn't see an answer.

I have an early 15" mbp, 2.0 i7. Upgraded to 16 gb of RAM. I bought a 128 crucial M4 and a data doubler from OWC. I want to put the ssd as the start up disk in the optibay for the shock protection for the hdd, but when I put it in the optibay the computer comes to a CRAWL. I tried taking out the hdd but it still is terribly slow. I also read about trying to reset the PRAM, but that didn't help at all. It seems some people aren't having this problem, so I was wondering if there was a fix I missed.

Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.
