SSD in optical drive sleep/wake issue?

I have MacBook Pro 13 2009 and tried M4 512gb in the optical drive. I had sleep/wake issues. I have read others who also experiencing same problem.

Is there anyone who has no problem running main osx in ssd in optical drive? If so, what's the brand/size of your ssd and which model is your MacBook Pro

My Samsung 830 works fine in a 2010 optical bay.
My M4 did not.

Why not try to put it in the main bay?

Because the main bay has a slightly oversized 1TB drive in it (12.5mm) which won't fit in the Optibay.

Having said that, they do 9.5mm 1TB drives now
