Does replacing my hard drive on my MBP to an SSD increase battery life? An SSD uses less power than a regular hard drive correct?

Anyone notice a difference in battery life after replacing their drive with SSD?

theoretically it would use less power since it's accessing the disk for less time due to higher read and write speeds.

Most articles have mixed reports suggesting that in the real world, the difference is most likely negligible, maybe several minutes in the best case scenario.

You're not going to see a major night and day difference in battery life if you install a Solid State Drive, maybe a few minutes at best. You'd be better off turning down the screen brightness and turning off AirPort and/or Bluetooth if you're looking to gain battery life.

It is negligible. You're not going to notice it jump from 5 hours to 14 hours or anything. However, it does run faster, cooler and quieter. Many many bonuses. =)
