Hi All :smashin:

Well..... I replaced my optical drive in my late 2009 i7 iMac with a kingston V+100 SSD and had a few issues installing but eventually got there.

I kept Lion installed on my 2TB HDD as I didn't want to wipe it just yet as I wanted the option to switch back and forth between disks until I was comfortable enough to transfer my data off my HDD, wipe and transfer back my media files.

Anyway... sometimes my iMac refuses to boot off my SSD even if its selected as the startup disk. When I hold down the option key on boot up sometimes it just shows my HDD and its recovery partiton and a recovery partition on its own with no SSD. Other times I just get the HDD and recovery partition and no SSD or SSD recovery partition. When I do get HDD + recovery partiton and SSD + recovery Partition and select the SSD it doesn't always load and insteads loads Lion off the HDD

So I'm wondering if having Lion still installed on my HDD is what's causing my issues as when it dose load off SSD its great (apart from one time when it froze  )

I know I could disconnect my HDD from the motherboard to test, but I don't really want to open up my iMac again :( and obviously I dont weant to wupe my HDD until I can guarantee a OS on boot up. So just wondered if anyone has experienced anything similar?
