Hello all!

I have a 2009 MBP 15" that I've just upgraded to have an SSD. What a difference!

Anyway, I bought an enclosure like this one to hold the optical drive to use DVD every now and again, but it doesnt seem to be recognised via USB.

When I plug it in, everything powers up and the DVD spins as normal, but the Macbook doesnt seem to think anything is there. Nothing in Finder, nothing on the Desktop. I've been searching google for a while with little luck.

Can anyone help?
Thanks!

Can you try it in Windows?
Does Diskutility show anything?
Could be it is broken.

WMware asked me the question of whether I wanted to mount this to mac or windows - "sunplus innovation technology USB to serial ATA bridge"

Still not showing up in My Computer on Windows 7 through WM, or in OSX.

Im running Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K549).

Thanks
Sam
