When will Apple offer the 256 gb Solid State Drive for the 15.4" like they are for the 17" ???


Man I would take a 15.4" now if I could get the 256gb SSD with it.



sucks that they changed the bezel to silver on the anti-glare option too...makes it look old school compared to the new glossy model.
 
You know removing the drive on the 15" takes about 10 minutes provided you have 00 Phillips and T6 Torx drivers handy......and it doesn't affect the warranty in any way whatsoever....and it's a generic 2.5 SATA drive.....so you could just get the dirt cheap stock drive, and add it yourself, then make an external hard drive out of the old drive.

how do you mean dont lose guaranty??? i bought my mbp 2, 53 in december 2008 , im thinking to update to a ssdrive , i ask in apple store and i was inform that i will lose my guaranty if i change it myself.
i no want give 600£ for an apple store update, but also i dont want lose guaranty doing myself.
any remomendactions.

You will lose the Warranty on the HD, nothing else.
