So I am going round and round about which SSD to get. I was originally going to get a OWC mercury and then after research here a Samsung 830. However, you can't really find a 830 anymore for a decent price from a reputable dealer.

So I started looking at the 840 and 840 Pro. For a little more money I could actually get a 512 840 compared to 256 840 Pro.

My question is, how much difference am i really going to see in real life between all these drives, assuming they will all be reliable.

This will be going in a new 15" MBP with a hybrid drive in the other slot. I will be using it for general web browsing email, etc. More heavy applications, will be Lightroom and Photoshop. I plan on putting all my raw image files, as well as home movie archive on the hybrid and having all programs and OS on the SSD.

Thanks for any help you can give me. At this point I just want to decide...every time I look at hard drives I go round and round and can't decide.
