With the new MBP 2012 13" high end model, would it be more beneficial upgrading to a 128/256GB SSD or upgrading to a 1TB HDD?

I understand that there are trade-off's for both, but which would be better for the long term? One other option is to remove the CD/DVD drive and use that as an SSD port whilst retaining a HDD as well.

Thoughts?

Replacing the optical drive for a second hard drive has always been a popular choice. You get both the speed benefits off an SSD(for start-up and your most used apps) and the cost effective storage of an HDD(for videos, music, picture, etc).

Unless you use an optical drive enough to justify keeping it, I would go with the dual SSD/HDD set up.
