Hi Everyone!
When I first bought my 17" Macbook Pro4.1 (Early 2008) 2.5Ghz Core 2, 4GB RAM, 512mb Graphics, it was a beast. Even though I took care of it like a second wife, I guess age is catching up with her. I noticed that it's getting slower everyday so I tried rejuvenating her again by installing a Kingston V100 Series 128GB SSD and upgraded it to OS X Lion 10.7.1. I think it better though not as much as I expected. I try testing it with Geekbench and it only scored an average of 2000 points.

So my question is:
1. Does it help a lot when I upgraded my drive to SSD?
2. Is OS X Lion good for my Macbook Pro4.1 (Early 2008), what are the pros and cons or should I just revert back to Snow Leopard?
3. What are the essential utilities that I need to install on my MBP?
4. Are there any extra/essential patches, firmware updates or Terminal codes inputs that I need to do to optimize my not so young MBP?
5. How could I improve the scores of my MBP?

Hope you guys could help me with these.

Cheers!
