Hi there...
I'm curious with my retina MBP 13"...

1. when using default SSD (128GB), speed write is 310Mbs and read 478Mbs
2. when upgraded using OWC 240gb, speed write is 312Mbs and read 499Mbs.

my question : is a normal? or something wrong with my mac or ssd?
FYI, I'm using retina MBP 13 with 8GB RAM, it's a late 2012 model.

thanks for your help

Those are okay numbers, and with smaller flash storage modules it always an occurrence, that the lower capacity flash storage is slower in write speeds than the higher capacity flash storage. OWC/MacSales does not seem to offer numbers for their 240 GB model, only for the 480 GB model, on the first and fast glance at least.

Are you dissatisfied with those numbers and could profit from faster constant write speeds significantly?
