I know very little about SSDs. Compared to some of the higher end external SSD units available now, how do the internal Apple SSDs of the iMP compare overall? I'm asking because I've got a project with high data rate video (5:1 RED raw) and my current external drives sometimes lag (Samsung T3). If I transfer footage to the internal drive, it's always flawless. Does something like an OWC ThunderBlade have similar throughput to the Apple SSD? The newer T5 seems like a good unit as well. Would appreciate any insights.

I can't tell if you're asking, but the iMP has pretty good SSD speeds, especially write speeds.
