SSD Problems

So guys need some help just back from a trip. Booted up my macbook pro to throw some pictures on it. I restarted the machine. And now it just pops up with a folder icon with a question mark. So i reboot the machine and put in the Snow leopard disk.. (went to the apple store bought the snow leopard disk, lost the ones that come with the pro). So i put that disk in and it just sits at an apple logo for left it for an hour same result.

Had a Spare SSD lying around brand new one so i put that in and inserted the Disk same result just a stuck apple logo.

What am i doing wrong?

If you're trying to reinstall Snow Leopard on the new hard drive, make sure you press and hold down 'C' when you boot so that the MBP will know to use the SuperDrive as the boot drive. You can then choose to do a new install or restore from a backup if you have one.

This is excellent advice.

About the only thing I would ad, based on my SSD experiences, is they do benefit speed wise from a clean install after six months or so if you're a heavy user.
