SSD reporting 263 degree temperature

Is this basically the equivalent of an SSD not reporting a temperature? I just installed an SSD into my optical bay and there is absolutely zero chance that it revved up to 263 degrees while starting up. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like it to me. Because if it was really that hot, you'd probably not be typing on that keyboard there.

Maybe reset the PRAM/SMC see if that helps report the right temps.
