Does anyone have benchmarks i.e. QuickBench extended 20-100mb of ssd drives i.e INtel x25-m, ocz vertex/vertex2 and the owc mercury pro's.

I want to know how fast sata 1 can go.

Thanks

My x25-m flies on my 17" uMBP wheras before I had the Macbook Pro ~Classic~ 2008 w/ SATA I bus and the performance was still there. You'll get the benefits of quick random reads and what not but obviously your performance will be limited in large transfers since the SSDs can easily outstrip the bus.

at the moment i have a 500gb 7200rpm seagate which at its best can pull 100MB r/w.

I'm thinking it is still worth it to go SSD even if I get 130~140MB/s
