I was at the Apple store today talking to the Business mgr about SSD vs 72k HD's. He told me that the SSD's were about 4x faster read but slower in writing then a 72k HD.

Any comments...? Is this true???

He also said that sometimes a 54k HD is faster then a 72k because the the 72k is spinning so fast that some times it misses data and has to pick it up on the second time round.

I have NEVER heard that before! Could this possibly be true? I don't understand how being as though the data is located in a specific sector and location mapped out in the FAT. Am I crazy...? Heh... play nice now... :D
