Hi, I am booting my 2019 iMac off of a Samsung X5 Thunderbolt drive which now has a 512GB WD 750 Black drive installed.

I did a check on the number of Unsafe Shutdowns contained in the SMART info. It currently shows 307. This drive has been used in another external housing before.

I did a bit of testing and found out that if I do a restart the Unsafe Shutdowns increment by one each time. However if I shutdown the machine and restart the number of Unsafe Shutdowns stays the same.

So it looks like it is taking a reboot as an Unsafe Shutdown. Is that normal and should I be concerned.
