I'm thinking of upgrading my HDD in my MBP to a SSD. If I do so, will I have to reinstall the OS?

I am almost definitely upgrading to Lion the moment it comes out. Assuming I do have to reinstall the OS, how would I do so with Lion as there are no discs and the Mac App Store would be required? Would it be a case of installing Snow Leopard and then upgrading through the App Store this way?

EDIT: I have a feeling this is in the wrong thread, feel free to move to the right place, sorry just started here

If you replace your HD with an SSD, you will have to reinstall your os.

Install Leopard and when Lion comes out, upgrade through the appstore.

Make sure you back all of your stuff up before you switch drives!

Not if he clones his drive first with software such as CCC

For what its worth, you can burn a backup disk of Lion's developer previews. You will almost certainly be able to do this once the final version ships.
